The star Winnie

Friday, February 13th, 2009

In the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the star Winnie the Pooh is next to the actors Tim Allen, Rod Serling and Jane Russell. There are other Disney characters that had the honor to have a star in the Walk of Fame, before Winnie- Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
The history of Winnie the Pooh starts on Christmas time in 1925 when the newspaper “London Evening News” published the first short story of A. A. Milne.
The inspiration of the sweet character comes from the author’s son- Christopher Robin, who is also part of the book itself. His favourite bear was named Winnie the Pooh to honor the bear Winnie from the London zoo.

Hollywood Walk of Fame

Monday, February 9th, 2009

The drawn hero Winnie the Pooh, a favourite character for many generations of children and grown ups, got his star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In the day of the ceremony many fans were waiting to see their idol, which appeared in modest manner dressed with its red T-shirt- the way we know him from the Disney animation.
The most expected guest was officially welcomed with orchestra. The guests on the ceremony were Winnie’s friends- Rabbit, Eeyore and Tiger. Unfortunately the other two of his best friends Piglet and Christopher Robin were not able to come, probably because of other engagements.

Roo

Roo is a very small kangaroo. He is the youngest in the gang from The Hundred Acre Wood. Just don’t make the mistake of taking him for granted just because of his size or age. He lives his life with all his heart. Roo is enormously fun-loving and curious and he definitely has fun of discovering the secrets of life. He is very much capable of expressing feelings and thoughts and in the same time he looks at the world with concerned and loving manner. He is much wiser for his age exactly because of his innocent view of the world.
